Terms of use

These terms govern your use of Highlight. By creating an account or subscribing, you accept them. If the student is under 18, the parent accepts them on the student's behalf.

1.Your account

  • Each account belongs to one student. Sharing sign-in details is not allowed.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of your details, especially the parent's number, since reports are sent there.
  • We may suspend an account that is used by more than one person or breaks these terms.

2.Subscription and payment

  • A subscription unlocks lessons, live classes, and exams for the length of your plan (month, term, or year).
  • Payments go through a licensed payment gateway. We never store card details.
  • Subscriptions do not renew automatically; we remind you on WhatsApp before yours ends.
  • Refunds are available within 7 days of payment if you have not attended a class or watched more than two lessons.

3.Live classes and attendance

  • Attendance is recorded with the code your teacher reads out in class, together with the Zoom or Google Meet join log.
  • If you attended a class you get one view of its recording; if you missed it you get two. A view counts when you start playing the recording.
  • Attendance and absence reports are sent to the parent on WhatsApp.

4.Content and intellectual property

  • All lessons, recordings, summaries, and exams belong to Highlight and its teachers and are for personal use only.
  • Screen recording, downloading, publishing, or selling videos is not allowed. Videos carry the student's code so any leak can be traced.

5.Exams

  • Each exam has a time limit and submits itself when time runs out.
  • Multiple choice is graded automatically; essays are graded by the teacher; results go to the student and the parent.
  • Cheating or sitting an exam for another student may lead to suspension.

6.Conduct

  • Be respectful in classes and in messages with teachers and other students.
  • Teachers may remove a student who disrupts a class.

7.Changes to these terms

  • We may update these terms. For important changes we will notify you on the platform or on WhatsApp before they apply.
